Over and above this, I wanted to go a step further and introduce this integration between all of my symphonies that is, the unity of my entire symphonic creation.
Over a period of many years I did not, however, have the support of nature in my musical creativity, to put these thoughts into practise, and so during this time I devoted myself to the creation of operas and concerts, where I experienced great support from nature.
In 1986 though, the great door to symphonic creation was unexpectedly opened within me and so I began with composing the first three symphonies: the Sun Symphony, the Moon Symphony and the Star Symphony.
At the same time the next five symphonies were already growing gradually in my head, symphonies whose main theme is the way in which the inner human strengths deal with the elements, earth, water, fire, air and space.
The common basis of these eight symphonies is the symphony of the cosmic winds or also: the Symphony of Life.
The first thing I was able to do in 1986 was finish the composition of the Sun Symphony and it seems to me to be a good idea to sketch the musical set up of this symphony, in order to provide the music expert with a few small external stimuli for the structural understanding of this work.

SPERBER
Internationally acclaimed conductor, Musical Director of the HAIFA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA and the NATIONAL CHOIR OF ISRAEL, in a letter to the composer Peter Hübner: It was
great pleasure to meet with you and to have the opportunity to speak
together as well as listen to excerpts from your symphonies. The music
intrigued me, especially your unique manner of combining orchestral
and vocal forces into one organic entity. |
